Brazil is such a prude country :o

Yes, seriously. There's a time and a place for everything, and I believe school is NOT the place for whores to do their whoring.

when did the mini skirt has become synonymous with whoring? since when did mini skirts become an expellable offence at goddamn university?

when did brazil submit to sharia law? :conf:

I'm just of the belief that people should be modest in certain settings. Why does one need to draw that kind of attention to themselves at school? Does one REALLY need sexual attention ALL ING DAY? Give me a break.

i never would've picked you for such a fascist prude :p

as far as i am concerned, tertiary education is free dress, and mini skirts are hardly the next coming of satan. its not 1960 anymore (except perhaps in brazil i suppose).

Cool, we disagree. And I'm hardly a prude. I just know there's an appropriate time and place for things. It's ok to have SOME sense of shame.

I know this may sound shocking to foreigners, but Brazil is a catholic country and, even though we like to think of ourselves as hot and sexy, we just can't get rid of this moralist prude shadow.

This is weird. I can understand the university's faculty being angry and expelling her, by why on earth would students riot and get angry about something like this?

I don't think "angry" is the best word. They became euphoric, because the guys first wanted to take a peek, and then the girls started heckling her, and then the guys that wanted to look good joined the choir (or so it seems).

Yeah, I worked that out during the whole abortion-ex-communication fiasco. Sucks to be you!

You heard of that too? Heh.

Most of the population was against that, though... actually, I should be a little more optimistic, because the university actually had to step back and re-accept the student (probably due to popular demand):

Uniban revokes decision that expelled student humiliated for mini-dresss

Uniban (Universidade Bandeirante) revoked Monday evening the decision of its university council that had expelled the student Geisy Arruda, 20, heckled for wearing a short dress. The decision was announced in a memo, that contains no details about what made the dean's office change its mind.

Hah, one of Brazil's hottest TV hosts/comedians decided to support the student and visited Uniban wearing nothing but a pink mini-dress:

I'm going to look for some more pics because she's hot as hell but, meanwhile, I'd like to make it public the fact that Sabrina Sato bloody rules! :D
