TBH I was overjoyed to hear something playing other than house and top 40 considering this is Houston... Don't get me wrong, I like funky house, prog and electro, just not normal house for the most part.

I feel ya i like most genre's of music as well. But i dont play house for a few reasons. one is i'm not a follower of the rest of Houston dj's i don't care to be like them at all i want to be me and thats what I do. So I play music i like and that i enjoy playing and listening to.
On the other hand there are some damn good house Dj's in Houston that i like to listen to. Alex C, Bobby Blyss, are a few but like i said i dont want to be like them.

+1 Its a damn shame a few DJs I wont name bash others music simply because it isn't the cool thing to play, according to them and their clique of DJs that cant think for themselves.
