| Predator should be more than enough for any bass. |

I use Trilogy and sometimes Absynth for sub-basses.
Really though, depending on the track you're making, it's going to depend on the timbre, volume, mixing with the rest of the track, etc. You might be able to make an isolated bass sound as clean as you want it to but it won't matter unless it works well in the overall mix.
Unfortunately if there are any tricks to doing that, I don't know them. |

Minimonsta has been good for bass in the past. Korg Polysix is a seemingly underrated synth for bass and lots of other things.
However, a one oscillator bass patch out of my Little Phatty routinely trounces anything I have been able to get out of software. |

Clean up the other sounds that are making your mix muddy. Cut the lows of the other tracks, especially the pads and you'll get much more clarity.
As for the actual sine wave and synth, well you're going to have to be more specific. |

| i definently agree with the person who said it has to work with the mix. I think maybe thats it. Also it would probably make a big difference which note it is. Cause sine waves are very temperamental with different notes. |
