I'm honestly surprised to see no BT. Were you not a fan of him at the time you made these, or what's the story there?
BT never really had any pop success. At least not here in the UK. I think Flaming June was his only Top 20 hit, and I certainly wouldn't play that in this kind of set.
These are all tracks that were BIG - either hammered to death on daytime radio or prominently featured in a film soundtrack. Something like that. The first disc is more influenced by what I heard on Back To The Old Skool on late night MTV Dance, but it was almost all highly successful.
Anyway, one set is uploaded, I lost the other in a HDD crash and I've got to get it from my MP3 player and upload it later. So expect a thread later today.

Im sure Loving You More also entered UK Top 20.
Eurodance was fun. Best tune imo in this style:
Livin Joy - Dreamer (Rollo Mix)

The main hook lyrics: "What is love?", is deep, and intrigues the imagination. But when its combined with the rest of the lyrics it confuses me:
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
Oh, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
What is love
Yeah
Oh, I don't know why you're not there
I give you my love, but you don't care
So what is right and what is wrong
Gimme a sign
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
What is love, oooh, oooh, oooh
What is love, oooh, oooh, oooh
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
Don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
I want no other, no other lover
This is your life, our time
When we are together, I need you forever
Is it love
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more (oooh, oooh)
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more
What is love
Oh baby, don't hurt me
Don't hurt me no more (oooh, oooh)
What is love?

I thought Blue Skies was top40 at least, if not top20.
Regardless, the mixes look fun. Looking forward to them ;)

Or Real McCoy - Another Night? Or Corona - The Rhythm of the Night? You see what I'm driving at here? Actually, I kind of miss the optimistic feel-good vibe of the 90s.

I would like to say that this is a ing jam.
Also, superlol @ Dune. I used to love that :stongue:
"i can't stop raving i can't stop raving i can't stop raving i can't stop raving"
Meat187
People seriously need to start dropping random 90s tracks in their sets. Like some typical Bas roof-top Tech- or Deep-House set, where people are slowly grooving, wondering when the next interesting element in the current track might show up, and admiring how deep, funky and sexy the music is, when all of a sudden Dune's 'I can't stop raving' comes on. Scarves will be thrown into the air and turned into headbands. Even those who have disappeared into a K-hole right at the beginning of the party will pop their head out again and swear to never do so much drugs again. And all the others will remember that dancefloor experience for years, telling a story like "Hey, remember when that guy spun I can't stop raving right before Magda was about to play? That was awesome. What was his name again? DJ Bas or something like that."
How can something not be cool that makes him dj_bas again!? :toothless
