Will you still be listening to EDM when you're 65? (pg. 3)

I'll most likely keep listening to EDM as long as the gems in the seven seas of e don't dissappear.
And unlike a lot of complainers here i keep looking for tracks that i like instead of moaning about the bad state of [insert your favourite hated EDM genre/style].

I like what i like and most likely my tastes will only broaden and expand with the passage of time instead of shifting to entirely different genres/style because of some sense of being bored with a genre/style.
So i can imagine myself still listening to the trance i like now as well as tracks from other genres.

Tastes change. I'm not necessarily saying I won't be, but at the same time there's absolutely no way that I can sit here and say for certain what I'll be listening to forty years from now. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. I'll just enjoy what I enjoy.

I know quite a number of 30+ year olds who still play Pokemon :p

Though surprisingly it's one game series I have never gotten into.

I will ask my son/daughter to play some chill out/sad melodic trance tune in my funeral, rawr

adagios for strings original works best but it is classical, oh well.

if edm still has something new to offer me in 40 years to come then ofcourse. if not ill find something else, im not dwelling over old tracks anymore, i had that nostalgic period and im over it. problem is that im getting more and more lazy looking for new stuff, combined with worse and worse formats, ill probably end up only listening to what i make myself (which is currently happening too) or go to concerts/shows of some kind, probably rock concerts though. if iron maiden enters godlike form and lives for ever ill go to iron maiden concerts and smoke futuristic weed mixed with subtle lsd-particles when im 65.

BoJingles, what do you mostly listen to these days?

Same stuff as I have for the past few years, ambient, downtempo, IDM, classical, older trance and prog, the occasional prog, trance, or techno track I find and enjoy on this forum. A little rock and post-rock as well. Sets from the DJ promo section.

I guess you haven't noticed, but I've cut back quite drastically on the complaining recently. I don't see a point in it.
