Hey guys and gals,
So my fiance and I are planning our wedding to be held in Toronto in 2011 which we are really excited about and we are currently looking at several venues as options but I wanted to know your thoughts as well to make sure we weren't missing out on the perfect place.
We are currently liking one king west and graydon hall the most of the ones we've seen, so they can be used as ball park guidelines.
Are there any other venues that any of you have been to where you have fallen in love with the charm or elegance of the location? Our requirements are that it must hold at least 150 people, be available for the ceremony and the reception and have close proximity to accommodations since we have several out of town guests coming (including ourselves!) Being in Toronto is key since we want to make it as convenient as possible for people who may be flying in from out of the country.
We are both going to be coming up to look at these places over the new years holidays so are trying to put our list together now.
Much thanks in advance.
Ps Hope to see a bunch of you again over new years!

I DJ for a company that specializes in private functions, and have done literally hundreds on weddings in this city over the past 5-6 years....
What's your budget like????
Their are so many great options in this city for wedding venues....
Personally I'm a fan of Inn on the Park or Liberty Grande, but if i knew what you were looking to spend I could make some recommendations that would be appropriate.. |

yeah actually it was really funny you mention that.... Palais Royal showed up as an option when were searching... she said it looked nice and then i was like "wait a minute, why does that sound really familiar...omg i used to rave there in the 90's, hell no!" |

| My brother is getting married in Toronto in September. This is the venue that he has chosen: http://www.archeo.ca/ It's in the distillery district and it looks gorgeous. I'm assuming that the wedding and the reception will be held there b/c he hasn't mentioned anything about a separate venue for the ceremony. |

looks very nice, do you know how many people it could hold? We found one similar but had to rule it out since it was capped at 100. |

I thought it was 150, but my dad just said he thought 125. I'll ask my brother and get back to you.
Congrats Dave! I hope I get to see you when you're in town!! <3 |
