You could try to instill in them self confidence, a good deal of value in their public image, and know that they can come to you if they feel they are some how being co-opted into things they do not feel comfortable doing.

lol yea we'll see. both of my parents instilled confidence in me and i was well traveled by the age of 9 and had seen and done a lot for a little kid and i was still a royal pain in the ass in high school.
i'm probably going to have at least one kid like me. ughh...

lol yea. she used to bring blankets and towels from home when my cousin would visit her own damn grandparents and tell them to sit on the blankets. and her grandparents (my great uncle & aunt) had a sick house in the mountains in NY and it was clean and cozy, it's not like they lived in a dump. she washed her hands a zillion times a day. that kind of OCD. it actually caused family problems and they almost got divorced but i guess they're working through it or whatever.
i mean i personally don't find her to be sexy or hot, but she has that good girl, clean cut harvard look. her mom is a crazy chemist with severe OCD lol she's gonna take after her i think.
