Why in following video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k4RURatTzw is Tiesto holding his hand on the turntable to stop it at 2:16 and then releasing it? It happens around 2:16
While he's stopping the turntable the track "Tell me why" is already playing and keeps playing.. he releases the turntable when the lead sound comes in but how does that matter cause the track is already playing.. so why does he do the hold and then release?? |

| cuz the cdj that he touches is the track that he's fading out.. thats why he spins it and adds delay.. |

lol very true.
He put the hand on top to stop the song. He than pressed the eject button, took the cd out, and put another one in. |

| well from what i saw and heard it seems like he did a backspin on the cdj in vinyl mode (you don't see that from the vid, but you can hear it) and kept his hand on the jog wheel, which pauses the track as long as it's held down. he then pressed the eject and released the jog seconds later. |

How do you know which channel the CDJs are on? The middle 2 faders are up which would stand to reason...
Yes, backspin (with some echo on the mixer), stop the track in vinyl mode, eject, turn it over, chalk up a line on its lovely reflective surface and BOSH. |
