I STILL don't know the exact pronounciation of Ibiza
Is it EYE-bee-ZA or EEE-bee-ZA? |
|

actually i THINK its 'ibitha'
like the z is pronounced with a TH like... wiTH |

| Yeah, it's EE-bee-THA. Lange would be pronounced with a soft G, but without the emphasis on the E at the end. It shouldn't rhyme with bungee, that radio jock must've been cracked or something. :p |

Ibiza:
Pronounced EE-BEE-za or EE-BITZ-ah if you're a liguistically uneducated American or English bloke.
The proper and native way to pronounce it is as you would in Castillian Spanish: EE-BEE-tha. You have to pronounce the Z as 'TH' and hiss slightly with your tongue against your top teeth.
Not sure about the other pronunciations, but I know this because I took a few years of Spanish and have been to the country twice. ;) Sadly not to Ibiza, but to the mainland. |

There's a footballer down here with the same surname, and his is pronounced "Lang" (hard G). Dunno if this Lange pronounces his name the same way though. |

| I've always said Lange as LAHNGE, in sort of a French pronunciation. It sounds more chilled that way, which mirrors his type of productions. |
