I like to see if the English speaking people knows how to pronounce my last name: Knudsen :)

tsk tsk, here's some help:

Dumonde = Doo - mon - day (mon as in pokemon) Thats how De Leon said it when I interviewed him.

Flutlicht = Floot (like foot, keep the oo short) - liggt
This is difficult to explain, coz the english langauge doesnt have a sound to describe the 'ggt' I mean. dutch/german/afrikaans have the sound (thats how I know, I can speak afrikaans) its kinda like the sound you get when you scratch cardboard.

Lange = Lange (as in KD Lange) - a

Hope that helps :D

@Krootn
its like u say now take the SH..
u say SHHH if u want a crowd to be quit, like i teacher does to his 8years old: "SHHHHH be quit now!"

so this SH without the S
kr00t0n
Nice explanatiob Bloodflower :)
now picture that 'shhh' sound with a 'g' instead of 's', kinda :p
DJRavemonkey
okay, a few clear ups

Ibiza

uk people mostly say it eye-beef-ah

Lange

said : like the the first part of banjo, i.e. banj said in the same way as banjo. then replace with lange.

Dumonde is def : Du-mon-d but if u say with French accent its said almost without the d like Du-mon with a slight d sound :S

HA! i was always pronouncing "Dumonde" like the way Kr00t0n said...like "Doo-mon-day" but i was corrected a few times and told it is "doo-mond". i guess i was right:)

and as for Tijs Verwest i am like 99.9% sure it's pronounced "Tice" (rhymes w/ dice) or "Ties" (pronounced exactly how it's spelled). i read in a article (interview actually) that he has a nickname..he said his friends call him "ties". so maybe that is just to mock his first name sounding like "Tice"...arghh who knows...i say it like "Tice".

also what's up w/ the "e" in Chicane...is it like "Chi-kan-ay" or is it pronounced literally like it's spelled w/ a long "a" in the second syllable?? like "Chi-cane" (second part rhyming with Jane).

k and one more...Johan Gielen. is it like "Yo-hon" or "Joe-hon" and is Geilen like "Gee-len"? (the g sound being the same as in the word guy) i always said, "Yo-hon Gee-len"...

great thread btw...i have always questioned whether i was pronouncing the names correctly or not....

It's Yo-hon Hee-len.

I can't believe it's "Due Monday",
:toothless

And about Flutlicht, isn't the "ch" just an "h" sound as in "ha"??
It's german.

There's a footballer down here with the same surname, and his is pronounced "Lang" (hard G). Dunno if this Lange pronounces his name the same way though.

the boots are like that too
