Not really. It's become a 4 month commercialist event here. When stuff is advertising for it come early September, it's too much. Greed from companies has made it utterly e. Family is always good but you can still hate what it stands for.

watched national lampoon's xmas vacation last night. so damn funny.

and re: the only seeing your family during the holidays being a bad thing. LOL i'd like to see you hang around my mom and sister and her kids for a day:p

god they drive me nuts. but i love them and they're family and i'm stuck with them so a couple times a year for visiting is plenty for me.
