Imagining Deep Space
There is no such thing as too much Space Manoeuvres! I won't write too much of a prologue, but basically this mix came together a few months ago with the idea that I was going to start with Stage One and went from there. I know a lot of these are fairly well known tracks, but I think it has a good flow to it and captures the spacey theme quite nicely.
Hopefully you'll agree and enjoy! Please let me know what you think of it, all comments are appreciated :) |

Downloading :)
edit: This is a really sweet set, good transitions and mixing as usual.
I had never heard any Space Manoeuvres tracks before (if I did I didn't take notice of them), so really happy I have now  |

| Holy man Stage One and that particular mix is one of the best trance tunes ever and an awesome track to start a set with imo. Gotta hear this!:) |

Critics on the set comes later, but first I wanna tell you that I experience very similar problems with playing your set like last time. Winamp as well as the Media Player give the same mistake at the same time. It's about at 21:34 and sounds like a double beat. I wonder if anybody else experiences this... :)
The set sounds very nice so far. A few minor beatmatching issues, but nothing that disturbs the listening pleasure. |

What a great mix! Firstly, thanks for the soundcloud upload, very convenient. Besides being technically and harmonically sound, the mix definitely has a great flow.
Ironically I had put up a spacey, albeit down-tempo Space-themed mix a couple of weeks ago and I think this is a great compliment to it in an uptempo context. I will certainly be downloading this onto the iPod tonight for future listening.
Thanks for the great mix! |

Being two thirds through the mix two thoughts cross my attention: 1st I need to mix a set myself again :) and 2nd this set is (in my opinion) a perfect example for Progressive Trance! I hear styles like old Digweed, Way Out West and Perry O'Neil in your set and that should mean something shouldn't it. :D
The track selection and thus the flow are very well done! You definately feel the music! :toocool:
But as always I find something to improve. :tongue3 Thighten up some of the transitions and work on your beatmatching. If those were as good as your track selection, I would welcome this set among my favourites.
Anyway, I'm extremely happy that there are still DJs who really feel the music and especially the Trance! |

Thanks for downloading guys :)
Yeah, Space Manoeuvres in general is one of my favourite prog producers and Stage One is one of my favourite songs ever. Pariah's remix just blows me away, and that intro makes it perfect for opening a set like this.
Finding something to improve upon is good, Soulstone. Gives me something to work on for the next one. Thanks for the praise too!
Glad people are liking it! :)
Edit: Jay, you better enjoy it :whip: |

| I'm sorry man, but as good a job as you do on these sets, you really are playing too many tunes that have been absolutely hammered in the past. |

It's the only reason I haven't listened to some of his latest mixes. When I listen to sets I wanna hear something fresh (not necessarily new; but something unfamiliar to me) so that I can really get into it and feel the emotion as it was meant to be felt. |
