| wow! i appreciate all the help. looks like i will be looking into the macs. things might be delayed since i am not sure how much chanel's surgery is going to be and that is an expense i wasn't really counting on. thank you all for the great advice and if you have any more, please share! |

Agreed I definitely do not need one... Windows 7 is nice. I also dual Boot Linux for when I don't feel like dealing with windows BS (Although 7 has much less).
I have Ableton Suite and Traktor on my laptop, intel core I7 dual 3.0 GHZ, 4 GB of ram, GeForce 9800 GT, 300 Gigs of space for music, and a 15" screen. What more do I need, lol |

That processor is GOD. I went to an Asus seminar not too long ago and someone had the intel i7 quad loaded up on a custom built PC. I used to think Intel was overrated until I experience that processor.
The new iMacs look sweet, but the high-end one only comes with a Core i5 Quad....for $1999?

windows 7 is better but it still ing sucks in comparison |

welcome to the club! my hard drive went out. i forgot to mention that the seagate hard drive will probably go out periodically after the first year. mac can replace it if you bought apple care but they replace it with a refurbished one. which will go out a few months after your warranty expires. congradulations again, sucker! |
