Any idea where Desyn Masiello will be playing on NYE?

I'd thought about going to this, since it seemed a bit different w/the Warhol theme and whatnot. Also, the last time I saw Desyn was around when I first joined TA, so I pretty much hated what I heard since it wasn't trance or prog house. Lately though, I hear he's gotten a bit lazy with his sets / doesn't really try much anymore. Can anyone else confirm :conf: . Anyone been to any of his sets this year?

It's too bad too... PVD is easily the biggest NYE party this year I think. I'd love to catch Paco Osuna but you couldn't pay me to set foot in Pacha again. Lee Burridge is the only semi-big name act that I'm considering catching. The fact that it's gonna be a masquerade is neat.

Totally disappointed at The Bunker's New Year's lineup:

Alex Smoke
Adultnapper
Derek Plaslaiko
Spinoza
Eric Cloutier

They're all great of course, but that's almost like just a typical night out lol. I hope at least a few more acts are announced in the coming weeks *fingers crossed* :toothless

I heard his set at Electric Zoo, and it was um, different.

He played basically a full-on drum n' bass set. It was sort of cool that he totally switched it up, but by the same token, he completely cleared out his tent.

I highly doubt he'll go that route on NYE though. I'm sure it'll be a great night.

He did and while I am very into D&B, it wasn't what I expected from him. As far as rating his D&B set, it was a three out of five and that is being kind. Some friends thought of doing this for NYE but I really don't want to be in a loft or I would have a party at my place if I wanted to be somewhere more intimate.

I just started a NYE thread to throw event info and rollcall there since it is getting closer.

Jeez, the years have spoiled me rotten I think :stongue:  . Well, I can't see myself *not* ending up at The Bunker at some point that night unless I just stay home altogether lol. But, I've spent the past 2 NYE's @ The Bunker. The music is def top notch, but rining in the new year inside a dark cave is a bit of a downer after a few years so I'd still like to hit up something else first at least.

Ooooh yeah, I remember ppl mentioning that a few months ago. Well, yeah... dnb wouldn't go too well with a Warhol theme lol, so it'll probably be between Desyn and Burridge. Playa Del Carmen looks like it's gonna be absolutely nuts! Will you guys be working down there too or just chilling? Everytime I refer to DJing as "working", DJs look at me like I've got two heads :stongue: , What? it's still work, just the kind that you enjoy every bit of :tongue3 . I wish to God I was going away for New Years. Still can't get over U60311's 44hr NYE event w/

Paul Ritch
Arkus P.
Tony Rohr
Brian Sanhaji
Audio Werner
Codec & Flexor
Dominik Eulberg
Felix Kröcher
Marco Bailey
Ida Engberg
Alexi Delano
Krause Duo
Mike Väth
Camea
Tim Xavier
etc, etc, etc, etc... not to mention Sven Vath + Joris Voorn @ Cocoon. One city just shouldn't be allowed. Not for 25 euros anyway. Will have to keep the bpm festival in mind for next year. I'm overdue for some festival style debauchery

Before we decided to book Desyn, we made sure that Desyn will be playing his signature style of house/tech-house. The DnB set was experimental for him and we applaud him for pushing his own boundaries as an artist. But for sure, you can expect to hear a style of desyn akin to this:

and this:

It's going to be a ridiculous one! You have our word. :)

Here are pics from the venue... not to worry, it's a beautiful 7000 sq ft art gallery space. From a production standpoint, we're pulling out all the stops on this one so you'll be sure to have a very high-quality experience all around. :)
