As JBJ mentioned, Modafinil would be your best bet.

I can't be bothered typing it all out, but it is a great drug. It has low abuse potential, few side effects and is very effective. In initial tests a few years ago, monkeys were given it after 48 hours of sleep deprivation and performed better in tests than the monkeys which had slept and not been given the drug.

MDMA. Lots and lots of it.

don't do this if you don't want to suffer from side-fx.

I'll give you one tip. Focus on learning how to do things faster for a few days, then go back to your work.

Music gym of all kinds (sound-design, playing skills, production tricks, softsynth trickery) happens here almost weekly. If you repeat stuff over and over again, you'll get faster.

What I'd suggest instead of ADD... and it's free.

seems like modafynil is more for staying awake. I manage that ok, it is just focusing without always interrupting myself with the internet or books or going to the store. I used to be able to discipline myself but i'm having trouble the last few years.

Modafinil increases memory and concentration too.

Do you actually have ADD? I don't have ADD and I struggle with distracting myself irrespective of what I'm doing. I had an exam a few weeks ago and I was posting on here four hours before sitting it because I couldn't force myself to study.

Modafinil will also make you question why you've been awake for 10 hours after you normally go to bed.

Good for after hours, but you'll definitely hit a point where you question whether you should really be awake :p

Marijuana's active ingredient, THC, is a cannabinoid. Your brain produces a cannabinoid naturally called Anandamide. Anandamide is involved with working memory and the deciding of which memories are necessary to store. So no, smoking weed will not increase your concentration. It will cause the part of your brain that discards "unnecessary" memories to work over time.

Well just because you were never diagnosed with ADD doesnt mean you dont have it! I went back to school this last year to major in physical therapy, which I really didn't want to do, but its a good career and good money. When I got into the boring medical anatomy stuff, I had a huge problem just staying awake when the teacher was talking. Even though the other people sitting around me (who were mostly medical students) loved hearing about that stuff. I finally switched majors cause I kept falling asleep every time I tried to study for the tests and just could not get interested in it or force myself to study much. Now I am doing something that pays less, but I like it, so I can study it no problem.

hah, cool.

Excercise and Video Games i'd imagine would help a bit.

Execercise opens up the blood vessels in the brain, gets circulation going, and perhaps motivation.

And videogames refine concentration a bit.

Consult your physician.
