Coffee does more harm than good to me. A short-term boost followed by an epic crash. Maybe that's got to do with the ty vending machine stuff here, though.

i crash after coffee, too, hardcore. sugar does the trick, though... bags and bags of dark M&Ms.
and yes... i study in my sleep. i work in my sleep, too. it's the biggest effin' cheat, man... i just have to wake up and do it some more. |

I sometimes mull over random incoherent mathematical things related to stuff i've been working on ... in an endless loop that never goes anywhere. like "Hausdorff .. distance .... diffusion..metric....alksjdflajsd...manifold...uhhhhhhhh..metric..kernel..shape prior?..uhhhhh..sleeeeeeeeep" |

Could be. A lot of good coffees benefits come from the smell and taste. Ever notice how just the smell of a good brew can pick your spirits up before you've even taken a sip? Caffeine takes at least an hour to kick in anyway so it helps to drink a cup that you enjoy. |

I never touch the vending machine stuff. Its crap. it tastes awful and to try and mask that taste its usually over sweetened even if you dont want any sugar in it. Instant...is acceptable, as you can find some that have an acceptable taste and a reasonable kick to them.
The real thing though...old fashion brew, black as the darkest night, stronger than any other force in the universe, thats what i like. And thats what will keep you up at night if you have to pull an all nighter. Though for newbies i would advise adding in some milk, because if that reaches an unprepared stomach it will burn a hole right trough, not to be messed with.

This is it: my productivity plummeted to zero, and I can't think any longer. I tried to keep awake producing drum'n'bass as I wrote my paper, but I just ran out of ideas, both for the paper and the tune.
I failed to finish the paper, but the tune sounds totally sick! It's got a beat that goes boom-cha boom-cha and the bass line is squeaking with a bunch of LFO's LFO'ing and my favourite porn star saying the name of my favourite writer. Dosto-mothering-yevsky is gonna eat your dog for breakfast and burn your house down!!!
