Tenshi - No Frontiers Vol 2 [Progressive / many fresh tracks in there]l.
View this Thread in Original format
Tenshi
Hey Guys!

Nearly 2 years ago I posted the first Volume of No Frontiers here (No Frontiers Vol 1 Thread) and many people seemed to like it!

The ingrediences in volume 2 are about the same - progressive with lots of cool melodies!

this is not how i play out (i don't play that lush and melodic in the club) but what music i like to listen to when i'm in the car or jogging!

equipment used: 2 cdj 200, Ecler Nuo 5, Behringer BCR 3000, Traktor Scratch Pro

I hope you people like it!

01 Charlie May - Midnight [emFire]
02 Ormatie - Thus & So [Hope]
03 Charlie May - Midnight (Nhar Remix) [emFire]
04 Liz Cirelli - Cepheid [Mirabilis]
05 Robsounds - Hutch [Manual]
06 Jon Hopkins - Light through the Veins (Ewan Pearson's Downtown Lights Remix) [Domino]
07 Sigward - Havana Goodbye [Manual]
08 Gui Boratto - Take my Breath away [Kompakt]
09 Alan Fitzpatrick - Reflections (Reprise) [Bedrock]
10 Francesco Pico - Far more out [Outside the Box]
11 Bent - As you fall (Guy J Remix) [G&E Analogue]
12 16 Bit Lolitas - Karmageddon [Hope]
13 Jay Lumen - Morning Cocktail [AnjunaDeep]
14 Francesco Pico - See what we can find (Eelke Kleijn Remix) [Outside the Box]
15 Glen McArdle - Lonely Departure [Outside the Box]

Charlie May - Midnight
A nice ambient start to the disc! This definately was on strong track on Invol2ver and is now finally getting a release! Charlie at its best imho!

Ormatie - Thus & so
Ormatie are back with their trademark sound - which is subtle and trancy and fits perfectly with the melodies of Midnight!

Charlie May - Midnight (Nhar Remix)
The remix of Midnight by Nhar has not much in common with the original so i used it to form a nice transition out of Ormatie.

Liz Cirelli - Cepheid
First heard it in the John Digweed guest mix by Henry Saiz and was instantly hooked! This lush and melodic piece of music is dragged by the Nhar Remix of midnight until the break!

Robsounds - Hutch
One of the best artists on Paul Hazendonks Manual Label released an awesome ep a few months ago - Hutch is probably the most melodic of the 5 and is smashed in directly after the Breakdown of Cepheid! The bassline and melodies of these 2 just fit perfectly!

Jon Hopkins - Light through the Veins (Ewan Pearson's Downtown Lights Remix)
I guess most of you know this track already and probably it is overplayed for you - still love how the melody gets me everytime! It's a bitch to mix though!

Sigward - Havana Goodbye
I'm no enterily happy with the transition but Light through the Veins doesn't follow normal patterns it seems! looped some sounds in the break there! Havana Goodbye itself keeps the moody atmosphere up! I just love the vocals, the bassline and the percs in this one! pure quality

Gui Boratto - Take my Breath away
Released over half a year ago, this is still one of my favourite melodic tracks! Listen how the sounds of Havana Goodbye are represented through 9/10th of the track :)

Alan Fitzpatrick - Reflections (Reprise)
I always found Reflections (the reprise and original mix) hard to mix because the melody clashes with most other sounds in tracks - so also here, but i just had to use this track as it's my favourite bedrock release in a long time!

Francesco Pico - Far more out
Mr Pico's Album Imagining Sounds 2 was one of the best electronic albums this year for me and this track especially caught my attention! love the warm and lush sounds.

Bent - As you fall (Guy J Remix)
The Micah Remix can't be touched for me but this remix is also pretty damn good! One of the better tracks from Guy this year!

16 Bit Lolitas - Karmageddon
From their Warung album this catches what the lolitas are all about! classy melodic progressive music! This is the start to the more upbeat section of the fist disc!

Jay Lumen - Morning Cocktail
He really caught my by surprise with this gem on AnjunaDeep - normally i'm not a big fan of either Jay or Anjuna but Morning Cocktail is really an awesome progressive houser with melodic influences!

Francesco Pico - See what we can find (Eelke Kleijn Remix)
This track is highly demanded and will be out on the 9th of december - so just 2 more days waiting for you. Eelke really did a great job with remixing this! He told me that he wasn't too satisfied with the result but everyone loved it! Good that he put it out! :)

Glen McArdle - Lonely Departure

This will be the title track to the next Outside the Box release after the Francesco Pico Remix package! Great atmospheric progressive and a perfect closer in my oppinion!

13 Retronouveau - Stand alone (Dosem Remix) [Omicron]
14 Josh Gabriel - Entanglement [Different Pieces]

Denis A - Heaven
I wasn't a big fan of Denis A's first releases on his own label DAR, but the last 2,3 releases were all very nice! his latest contribution is Heaven which is a nice opener! cut the track a bit short with some queue points!

Will Saul & Tam Cooper - Where is it (Steve Bug Instrumental)
Already the 2nd track shows that disc 2 will go into an other direction as did disc 1. Nice house grooves from Steve Bug!

Masque - Riot Cake
Already a year or two old, this track still gets me every time i play it! nice melodic progressive here! The start of the track just works perfectly with the melodie from where is it!

Glen McArdle - Home at last (Eelke Kleijn Edit)
Eelke did a nice rework of one of Glen's tracks, which will be also featured on his ep which will be out in a month or so! love the mixture of the housey and trancy sounds!

Danny Howells - Right off (Casio Social Club Remix)
My favourite Dig Deeper release ever! This is just so groovy and funky, yet very melodic, especially in the breakdown. Pure class!

Charlie May - Apache (Audio Junkies & Sahar Z Remix)
The Audio Junkies & Sahar Z transformed Charlie's Apache in an awesome progressive stomper, which is much more upbeat and also better in my oppion than the 2 original mixes!

Freeland - Mancry (Gui Boratto Remix)
The melody of this track gets me every time! just pure melancholic bliss! One of Boratto's very best! It's not played very long though and is looped into...

7th Key - Butterflies in my Room
I can't tell you how much I love this track at the moment! This is how Progressive House should sound in my oppinion! Out soon on the new Audio Therapy sampler!

Hernan Cattaneo & Soundexile - Sonification (Remix)

This track contains a perfect mixture of danceability and nice melodies! just keeps on going and going and going!

Peter Martin - Heat (Lank Remix)
At the moment Lank is putting out tunes nearly on a weekly basis so its hard to keep up with him! This remix needs special attention in my oppion! 14 minutes of pure groove! the buildup is insane - definately one for the dancefloor!

Little Boots - Earthquake (Sasha Remix)
Sasha (or Charlie, or whoever produces under the alias Sasha ;) is back in the game with remixes, which is very good! This track sounds much like Invol2ver, which is not a bad thing! Love the vocals and the bassline in this one!

Nick Muir - Fu Man Chew
Audio Therapy is really back in the game with the latest releases and also the forthcoming packages! Fu Man Chew is a good example of a nice melodic dancefloor bomb!

Retronouveau - Stand alone (Dosem Remix)
Doesem is surely one of the rising stars this year with tracks like beach kisses and silent drop! This remix is less melodic and more bassline driven! Needs a big PA :)

Josh Gabriel - Entanglement
Josh starts the melodic finish! I wasn't too keen on most of his tracks this year but Entanglement is the exception! awesome buildup!

Andre Sobota - I can hear you
The last track on disc 2 is a very melancholic and melodic progressive houser - i'm just a sucker for these kind of sounds!

btw all tracks are legally bought or sent by the labels or producers!

feedback is always welcome!! :-)

Got about halfway through disc 1 on the bus today, and I was quite impressed to say the least. If the rest is of the same quality, this is by far one of the best things I've picked up around here this year. :)

These are as good if not better than the first No Frontiers. Very, very nice. Getting a lot more plays from me.:)
Sushipunk
