Strange thing to say... so much of their music comes from deep introspective places (and often dark with the Animals and Wall albums); some is based on Waters' real life experiences he dealt with from growing up in a home with an overbearing mother and a father who went off to war, as well as the personal inner conflicts between the band coping with each other, life, and loss.
Maybe I just can't relate to them because I suffer from some sort of epoch chauvinism... but I just can't appreciate it :(
