I thought the wall is widely considered by the fans as the tiest album of PF

Lira, I think you should listen to either the "Animals" album (it's underrated in my opinion, and one of my faves) and Dark side of the Moon. THE WHOLE THING, OKAY? lol.

If you're going to take the time to listen to it, you might as well watch the movie. It'll give you a better understanding of the meaning behind it. Just don't get drunk and have a gun nearby.
Indeed, the most depressing and devastating 2 hours I have experienced watching a film.

Really? I thought it was pretty funny. The charm of The Wall is that it presents a very shaky, but present and beautiful sheen on domestic comedy, despite the very dark undercurrents. It's that contrast and the time it was made in that make it appealing, not necessarily the concepts behind some of the songs.

"Standard" in terms of, "Everybody knows it and is one of the most commonly played Floyd songs so it seems kinda pointless mentioning it in this thread."

It's like an anthem of theirs. Not a particularly good example of the depth their music has to it at all, but that's not to say it's a bad song or something.
