Is this guy's sad, pathetic life a peek into Nou's future?

So apparently some guy who was a friend of my mother in high school has been secretly obsessed with her for more than 35 years, and he just finally found her and contacted her again last week.
Here are the highlights:
1. He's married, with three kids.
2. His wife knew he was obsessed with my mom before she married him.
3. He has somehow persuaded his family to repeatedly assist him in trying to locate her over the last quarter century.
4. He's blown more than $500 on online people-finder services in unsuccessful attempts to locate her.
5. He's a religious nutbag and confessed his belief that "God wants him and [my mother] to be together."
What can I say; we live in a hilarious world. |

No, this isn't a peek into Nou's future. Might be a peek into mine though.
Dammit.
I think Nou's very realistic about his feelings and chances with Aly and I think he's done a good job of moving on. Of course sometimes there's a pull back. That's natural when you really like someone or love someone. He should just go outside and play more. He'll be fine.
