I used to think that there were 2 topics of discussion that were ways not to make friends: politics and religion.
Not too long ago I added music to that list, because so many people equate it with the second topic. The ones who don't, well I just can't take them seriously, so who needs em anyway. |

Music does change the world, at least mine. It can be soothing, relaxing, it can get you excited or pumped and a lot of memories of events are tied to music, so that that music can bring back those memories.
a world without music. |

When I say that music cannot "change the world", what I mean is that music, in itself, cannot save or sell anything past the notion of human conceit. Of course it can impel people to take certain courses of action that can certainly ripple throughout the ebbs and flows of human memes, thereby inciting cumulative alterations in social direction, but music is not any more responsible for this than coffee or kleenexes or indoor plumbing.
In conclusion, Bono. And you know what? Trent Reznor, too. Art is resistance? off. Resistance is silence - everything else is incorporated. |

| I can't say that I honestly liked music until I was 15 or 16. |

In conclusion, Bono. |
I'm not a U2 fan, but seriously? Bono is using his star power to raise a shed load of money for human rights around the world, and puts pressure on political figures to change their policies as well. I admit I don't know a lot of the specifics, but he's alright in my book. |

| Yes, yes, he's a regular Christ. |

| Because he isn't Christ he isn't doing a lot of good in the world? |

Name some truly beneficial things Bono has done for the world. What about the world of music?
I just compared him to Christ because he has an excellent marketing team. |
