That's exactly the same advice I already gave on the first page, but we still aren't afforded the same level of privacy as we were before. Some of the options are different/offer less privacy than they did initially. |

So is it OK to complain if we don't use it? Or is this one of those damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't scenarios? |
I don't mind if people complain, but honestly you can't do anything, just roll with it. Whateves
POKE LOL |

when will people learn? there's no such thing as privacy on the internet. if you put something up on the 'net, don't expect anyone to keep it a secret... not facebook, not google. NOBODY...
if you post it, it's public. if it's not public now, it'll be public at some point when someone finds a way to make money off of it. |

Just out of curiosity, how many friend requests did you get from TA's today jenny?! LOL!
I don't really care if someone wants to request me, I can deny them.. and I get to lurk thier page first before I do.
I just put all my to FRIENDS ONLY, and made a "Limited Profile" friend group and blocked those friends.
If you really want to take the time, you can make seperate groups of yoru friends that you don't want people to see stuff...
ie. make a group "don't see wall posts" and add people who you dont' want to see your wall
another group "no pictures tagged by friends" and add people to that...
and so on and so on... one for each thing ie. "work and education", "contact info", "status and comments"
Once you get the groups made, just limit them...
Like I said above, I got all of it set to "Friends Only", so I have to get your request to approve/deny if you see that stuff... once inside, I have certain things blocked to "Family" which is uncles, aunts and stuff... "coworkers" which is people who i work with but not friends friends with.... and normal "limited profile" which makes my page pretty safe and PG for certain people as I see fit like aquantices, friends of friends, people who know my mom etc...
All have their own security level kinda...uncles can't see my statuses of "going out tonight to get wrecked at the club", and co-workers can't see my wall where my friends post things like "great night last night! Can't believe we did that!" when I call in SICK the next day...
But, my friend is wondering how to shut off the friend requests? Anyone figure that out? |
