For the record, a studio monitor is a combination of a high-quality amp and a speaker that's tuned for a flat frequency response (as opposed to typical consumer speakers which tend to exaggerate some bands). You can call it a "speaker" if you want, it doesn't have to be one or the other, but the industry calls it a studio monitor, simple as that.

A "Mac" is still a "computer", just a very specific kind of computer, and distinctly different from other types of computers (for better or for worse). I don't see anybody getting upset over people using the former term ("how dare you call it a Mac, it's just a computer!!"). Get over it, seriously.
