Stargazer is a good one. Got the vinyl. Actually, I have a lot of the stuff being mentioned on vinyl. Now I'm starting to miss my Technics :(
Vacant Skies
I've only been into the EDM scene for almost 2 years but the song that really did it for me was
Cressida - 6a.m. (Kyau & Albert Remix)
After hearing this track i gave up on other styles of music and became an EDM head lol.

I liked it REALLY HARD or either pretty progressive in the mid-late 90s. I miss that old style progressive/progressive trance (think Sasha & Digweed to Oakenfold). Completely different than what you hear now. Not one mix really got me into that stuff, but I know what made me really get into the trance
Anyhow, I can say what really got me into uplifting/epic trance is pretty embarrassing to say lol. But it happened after I moved to SF and people at my new job got me downloading DJ Doboy mixes -- a dude who just made mixes from his bedroom in Texas. They were pretty amazing for the time. Too bad that as trance changed, his sets went the way of being cheese.
Then I started going nuts on Napster, Kazaa, Gnutella, etc and that's when I really got into the trance. Tiesto Mysteryland 1999 and Energy 2000. Blank & Jones (if you got into trance post-2001 you missed out when Blank & Jones were ING AMAZING....they didn't tour the states until well after their peak, IMO). Will never forget Marco V's set at Sensation 2000. Amazing to this day...DJ Tomcraft - Prozac in his set. OMFG!!!!.
People think I'm a trance head first, but its' not true. :-p I just had a real heavy period of when I was mainly into it from late 1999-2002/2003...then Markus came along and he actually opened the gateway to getting back into the more progressive music. Cause he brought Trance down a notch with style. His style back then was a good medium between progressive house and prog-trance.

What closed the deal for me was hearing John Digweed's Transitions 3 (including the 25 min extended mis of Gridlock) then seeing him for the 1st time at Ruby Skye soon after August 30, 2007.... The best part about this whole ordeal was not knowing what to expect because before that I really wasn't into anything specific...I really liked (and still do) psy trance but after this I found what I REALLY liked errrr love!

haha I remember they used to play these type of songs at Persian parties, and I remember hearing ATB - Till I Come at those type of parties too, like back in 2000 or something.

For me, I would listen to Kiis fm and Power 106 every Saturday night to hear dance songs (back in 1998-1999). I liked it, but it was cheesey. I knew there had to be better stuff out there, I just didn't know where to find it. Then they played the song "Pulsar", which spells out M-A-U-R-O-P-I-C-O-T-T-O. I was like cool, this song isn't too bad. Let me look up some other songs by this "Mauro Picotto" guy.
Once I heard Mauro Picotto - Komodo, my life changed.

If that was the Digweed said I am thinknig of, that's the one that really threw me back and reminded me of him in the 90s. A lot of dark prog w/ trancey elements. Some people didn't like that, but it blew me away. He played harder and faster than I had heard him in a long time.
