If you're a scientist, yeah, it does. But, Kelvin is just the centigrade scaled pushed down a few numbers. Because we see the water boil and freeze far more often than we see matter reach an absolute zero, it's easier for the average person to work with 0's and 100's than with a scale that ranges from 273.15 to 373.15 - regardless of that, they're essentially the same scale.
Fahrenheit, on the other hand... :p |

That's -50.8 for you Fahrenheit-ers.
It has been stupid cold here in Alberta the last week. I have my heater up to +30C (86F) to keep it at 19C (66F)... yes, our heating system is .
But seriously... when I go outside, the inside of my nose freezes, my eyelashes freeze, and sometimes if I go out when my hair is still a little damp, my hair freezes. I couldn't feel my toes on the way home today.
So Will, suck it up or trade places with me because I would much rather have -6 (tolerable) than -46 (stupid ridiculous and evil).
P.S. Winter ing sucks and I hate it with a passion and I am moving somewhere warm ASAP! |

| It was a sunny 16C today in El Paso. But we did have a winter storm 3 weeks ago when it snowed pretty hard and dropped to below 0C. That lasted maybe 3 or 4 days. |

You in' ... not a one of the temps you listed are even remotely close to cold. It was -46C where Theresa lives yesterday... that's cold; -12C ain't . |
