The nutbags that do that need to have their heads examined. There has gotta be some frontal lobe missing. Self lobotomy performed at some point?

I have seriously considered transferring to a warmer country, but the Canadian government wont help me pay for schooling anymore by way of loans. So I am stuck here until I get my honours and then I am bouncing.

What are you talking about, woman, higher education here is free!
Well... you do need to learn Portuguese, take an entrance test, and only the best universities are public (i.e. free). You can always get a job teaching English to pay your bills and you're all set :D

I'm quite sure the paperwork is probably the worst part. If you're really interested, look for exchange programmes between our universities (if there are any) and/or ask for information at the Brazilian consulate in Toronto (that's where you used to live, right?).
The foreigners I know from university don't really have to pay for their education here, as far as I know.
