hi me again. help with basic guitar chords

| hi. new guitarist now when it comes to songs i like, i actually excel, in fact, with a few hours with of practice i played animal i have become-three days grace and sugar-system of a down, mostly because they where simple power chords and riffs that i could master with practice. but books i have that help with beginners always start with chords like E,G,A,C etc. some of my friends play guitar and they masted those chords the first week and im still struggling after 12 days, it just takes me like 5-10 seconds to switch chords and i can't keep a constant beat. any tips? |

| Learn your scales as they are the alphabet of music. It takes time but will come with practice and persistence.;) |

sugar by system of a down isnt really difficult to learn because its like 3 chords in a decending manner in drop C? tuning.
however i would probably start with basic rhythm and strum some basic chords like G C D so you can at least play some blues and rock n roll. |
