I might be a little biased, but I thought Clear Senses was a true hidden gem!

I've put a new label on this buzz-saw house with slower beats. I find it hard to call it house because it lacks the funk, soul and groove that I associate with the music. But if it is house, it's it's own brand, for me, I call it:

hipster house.

Prog, the way you (Yohan) describe it never left, it just went out of the spotlight. I doubt it will ever be as big as it was 2000-2003 because alot of the big name guys who played it back then always want to move on from sound to sound it seems, but I bet they will always include one or two prog tracks in their sets.

Prog house has always been very strong, just because the light isn't beaming down on it doesn't mean the quality has left.

I think this resurgence has been a long time coming. I'm so hyped to hear some new beats. It's going to be a Happy Prog New Year indeed.

Can't wait to hear someone drop tracks from Cristian Paduraru, 4 play, Vinjay or AD Brown. Their progressive beats are syk.

I think "4 play - Rising" and "Guesta Dubside - Music is Power" and "Vinjay - in the Night" will be hot tracks to our ears in the coming months, but that's just my opin.

YES. Agreed.

heh just noticed it today :p

my 2 cents :
i, too, have noticed a bit more of the prog-house creeping back into the modern sound.
But the same goes for disco as well..and the 2, i find, mesh incredibly well with today's other deep sounds.

Most of the mixes i listen to nowadays are a blend of :
melodies weaving in and out of prog-house, deep house, nu-disco or disco-y house, along with a touch of techiness.
Best examples would be Wisternoff, Howells, Fair, and Masiello but all in their own way obv.

Subtract the nu-disco angle and you've got the typical Argentinian interpretation of house :
Hernan, Martin Garcia, Gerardo Boscarino <--- all deep, groovy, and melodic = clutch;)

And now I'll give you my two cents...

Get Hernan and Martin Garcia to Toronto now.

Vrk I expect you to make this happen, nobody in Toronto seems to be doing anything about it...work your magic.
