I have to change my original reply by adding that although I believe tech is indeed here to stay for a while, the new generation of prog is definitely making an impact. Prog is no longer the melodies of artists like Deadmau5 and Pryda--that kind of prog is gone but the newer stuff (Kotov and Wilde - She Walks Alone comes to mind) has certainly arrived.

deadmau5 and prydz is more popular than ever. what makes you think they are finished and done?

Hmmm.

I never said the Mau5 and Prydz are 'finished and done'. From a DJ perspective both artists have never been more popular.

I mean that songs like Not Exactly and Murani aren't being replicated by every producer out there day-in, day-out like they were in 2008.

Perhaps part of my experience is that I'm no longer actively seeking out music like that.

believe me, there are couple of labels push this type of prog. ever heard of anjunadeep?
