| Hello Australians. In March I'll be attending the University of Sydney. The thing is I don't know anything about Australia at all. I was wondering if some of you might be able to fill me in on the local clubbing scene, what I can expect, what the weather is like ect. |

Weather is fantastic. March is officially the start of autumn but will still be mostly sunny with a temperature in the high 20s or even still 30s.
Are you at the city campus of Sydney Uni? It's probably got the best social life out of any university and sits just on the edge of the central business district so getting anywhere good is a breeze. You living on campus? If you are, you'll love it.
Clubbing is quite strong in Sydney. A lot of electro house and increasing numbers of prog nights. Good trance can be found but not on a weekly basis. Techno, DnB, etc etc etc is all here. It's a city with almost 5 million people so there's no shortage of events.
Check out www.inthemix.com.au for upcoming events.
..oh and the local women are all stuck up princesses. Stick to the foreigners on campus :stongue: |

I hear that too from friends who lived in Sydney a couple of years ago. I'd still like to live there or some other Australian city for a year or two. |

To be fair, we do have a high population of male queens here. |

Can you guys elaborate on the male / princess queens =P. I mean I personally like a girl that is a little bit high maintenance.
Also just wondering, is it like a year round kind of deal where you can wear t shirts, or does it ever get really cold |

Well during winter you'll need a nice jacket over the top and sometimes an undershirt but rarely. Usually August is the coldest but this year we had pretty much no winter. Actually had quite a few 30+ days in the middle of winter :wtf:
Bring a leather jacket and a few nice jumpers for winter. The rest of the time it's all jeans, shorts, t-shirts and shirts. |

| Let's not start the Melb v Syd war again. As far as universities go, Sydney has the cream of the crop (if you can call it that). |

That just because something is the best, doesn't automatically make it good :p
Aussie universities are pretty good though and an education from many of them can go a long way overseas. |
