This was a great party, not sure why Menno got screwed out of 20 minutes, but the crowd, music, and lineup were amazing.
Insomniac should take notes. |

| i don't know why the party ended early, but i can tell you it wasn't because of spundae. spundae's policy has always been 'the party goes as long as the headliners want to play, and if that's longer, then the party goes on'. it was probably because the venue staff was tired and wanted to go home as is often the case. normally the warfield is never open that late. there was probably a special agreement to operate till 4, but the staff wanted some time at the end to break down, clean up and be out the door by 4. that's my theory... |

Sounds about right, yeah from the few Spundae events I've been to that seems to have been the case. Its just that I'm so used to seeing/hearing LA promoters end their events early. |

fun party... i'm not sure if doors opened at 9pm or there was a slow in admitting people in..but i got there at 10:30 ish and the line was RIDICULOUS.. there had to been at least 1000+ people in line..i thought to myself it had to have been a big ol sardine can inside but it totally wasnt the case.. plenty of room to dance and chill.. it took me about 50 minutes to get in...
the extra stamp when walking into the dancefloor was kinda confusing..thank god i didnt wash it off
the music was good.. as for the crowd..it was an 18+ party and ive been to LoveFest/Lovevolution after parties so i knew what to expect
wish i didn't drink so much tho..ended up leaving earlier than i wanted to =(
of course it was good seeing Billy and Miss G =) |

Rich pretty much nailed it but in addition to that we had no knowledge of this scenario until about 3:30. We were on schedule for 4am, but Warfield wanted to play it safe for their license.
and yes doors did open at 9pm, people were already on the dancefloor well into my first track |

Wait, so you got an extra stam pinside the venue just to get on the dance floor?
Weird. |

| when i walked through the doorway that leads to the dancefloor there was a guy standing there looking at hands, when he noticed i didnt have a stamp..he stamped me on my palm near where my thumb is.. |

My assumption was that if you had a 21+ stamp, you were allowed in the downstairs area because there was a bar there. Whereas if you didn't have a stamp, then you would have to go upstairs. I could be completely off, though. Whatever the rationale, I saw a lot of people getting upset that they weren't allowed in the downstairs area because their stamp was washed off. I was lucky that they stamped me on top of my forearm so it never washed off. Strange.
When I walked into the downstairs area, it reminded me of a small version of Avalon. |

| Warfield uses stamps to control the crowd on the floor. They have to be real careful with firecode there. What they do with the stamps and how they enforce it is under their control...but that's what the stamps are for. Some crowd control system. |

Can I guess what caused the line? The event started at 9, a lot start at 8, and there weren't a bunch of kinda good artists, it went from Alain, straight to GARETH!!! so people all ascended on the venue at the same time!!! Most people had the same idea we did, show up at 10/10:30
thousands showing up all at once never goes smooth. I've been tothis venue many times and the security is always VERY very slow and very frustrating!!!!
Can anyone and everyone who has the opertunity to pass on what's said here, pass on the message that everyone I've talked to an read from has AMAZING things to say about this event. We want more like this!
Pick a genre and stick with it, one room, one vibe!
Thanks again Spundae! |

| Does anyone have a tracklist or general idea of what Menno De Jong played? I saw one of the videos and it looked sick! |
