The most important lesson you learnt this year?

2009 is about to end, and it was a great opportunity for all of us to live and learn. But, what's the most important lesson you think you learnt this year?
"Wherever you are it is your own friends who make your world" - William James

I wholeheartedly agree with him and, during this year in which I had more time to work on my non-romantic relationships, I understood why I cherish my friends so much, and what we do to keep one another strong. I now understand how they provided me with an incredible environment for me to pursue my dreams, and am greatly thankful for all that, having dealt with some of the prejudice there was revolving this issue.

So, what did the lot of you learn this year? Share your experiences!

I learned that getting a blow job from a vacuum cleaner is a lot more fun in principle than in practice.

That it's ok to go knee on knee with certain NHL players because they're douches. Now where did Ray Emery go?

To never fully trust most people, more specifically close friends. Sadly.

True. I trust about as many people as I can count on one hand with many things. There's always someone who makes out they're a mate & ends up being a ****.

I'd say there's a couple who do, but I understand your point. I'd say one guy who does would be the colour commentator from the philly area who when their guy got a game misconduct & we had a 9 minute powerplay, winning 8-2 or something in the end, spent that entire powerplay whining about how it was that our guy didn't get one too. Give me HNIC anyday.

Why? Sounds like many TA's came to the very same sad conclusion...
