I haven't been to a show in about 2 years (Markus Schulz @ Ibiza DC)... I think that counts as official retirement. Still have mad love for Trance, but most of the new is just annoying/boring.

For those that knew me back in the day, hope you have a safe and happy NYE. I'll be in the Pocono's w/ my girl and a few friends, chilling out with a few drinks a some fireworks.

Cheers

Jason, lately I've been listening to the old Armin set at Spirit when he showed up late and I believe you were called last minute to open the night. Was your set recorded that night as well? June 2005 I think it was...

I remember that night, that was amazing! Made Event called me and were like... "Armin is stuck in DC, his flight was canceled due to the blizzard and now he's driving up here. Can you come to Spirit and play until he shows up?" I'm like ummm, sure, when do you need me to be there?? They said, right now, doors open in less than an hour :stongue: Anyway, I had like 30 minutes to get to spirit so I grabbed my headphones and music and jumped in a taxi. I didn't fully grasp everything because it happened so fast, but when I arrived to Spirit there was literally a line around the block. Then it hit me... I'm filling in for Armin and DJ Remy... The venue was full by like 10:30pm and I played until 1am. Then Sean Cusick took over until 3am when Armin showed up. And when Armin arrived, the place absolutely exploded.

I truly miss Spirit, such a great venue imo.

As for my set that night, I unforutunately didn't record it :(

It truly was an epic night. You and Cusick did a great job opening the night. I'll have to upload Armin's set and post it up here.

Thanks for sharing your set! It was really enjoyable to listen to. I couldn't even tell you the last time I've listened to that sound. Really puts things into perspective of how quickly things can change! :)
