heat was a transparent excuse to slap deniro and pacino together.

hated it.

lol. it really didn't. Haziel, you're missing the point... the very reason that performance was one of his best is because he didn't do a lot of talking. ;)

i remember 1 scene that was maybe good...the one where he got shot and waited in the car outside of his house then his wife gave in a signal to like gtfo . he looked constidpated and but it look pretty real of what a person that just shot might look like .

I felt the same way when it came out.... about forcing the two of them to be in a scene together. The hype couldn't have lived up to the expectations. Now after 15 years, watching it again and forgetting about that bull factoid, the movie stands on its own. Deniro and Pacino have done so many performances in the past decade, watching them in Heat makes me remember why I used to like them so much.

heat was just a long movie with 0 payoff...sorry.

Especially compared to its peers in that genre. I love that gun battle in the street. Kilmer didn't have a big role in that movie and was neither good or bad.

edit: Val's best movie. I have two words for you...

Top Gun

meh... different strokes I guess. I liked the mutual respect they had for each other in the end, despite being cop and criminal.
