I once worked with a girl who had worked as a "dancer". She apparently made loads of cash but used it to buy her mother a house, then decided she'd rather study law than earn lots of money in her old job.

There are exceptions of course. I knew a dancer who owned her own company and was an A+ student in her studies to become a CPA, which she is now.

Still, let's be honest, they're exceptions.
