What? Like a continuous stream of right-wing drivel interspersed with near hypocrytical statements placating fears of potentially lethal food additives because the perpetrators happen to be big business?

or something more like this:

I just recalled the human body has it in us all the time. There is tons of ammonia in the bladder at all times...?? i wonder how bad it really is....
The Ear
The human body also has in it at all times. Do we really want to eat the stuff?

(set up for 2 girls 1 cup jokes is complete)

Seen it, meh it's kinda very one-sided (just like most documentaries). Although the chicken thing was pretty interesting. But that mom talking about her boy thing is just trying to get the viewers sympathy.

I agree with what Jayx1 said, they probably just twisted it to make it sound really bad.

Here's another one to make people think.

http://www.snopes.com/food/ingredient/bugjuice.asp

Bugs are used to make a shade of red food colour.

this is a bit different than that. ammonia is an abundant chemical found naturally ammonium nitrate. Its not like its man made like some chemicals that may have more toxicity than ammonia alone... i may be wrong but from what i know about organics it's not that un-natural...

lol, how can you twist a fact that 1 out of every 2 kids born after the year 2000 will develop diabetes?!

that alone is mind blowing, aside from all the other facts the documentary points out

It really wasn't as informative as it should have been. I did enjoy watching it, and it did wake me up, but I was hoping for more actual information.

Sorry, but you cannot actually prove that. We are only 10 years into the 2000's. Plus, what local is that stat restricted to? So many things wrong with something like that.

No, I watched very intently, and have just started an The Omnivorous's Dilemma. The mom crying, the same line 'so much of our food comes from the same place'...it was a bit repetitive. They had a great opportunity to introduce more facts, but they didn't.

I'm not saying the movie was bad, but just that I was hoping for more facts.

I find it a bit ironic, that people would be up in arms about it being in their food, but have no problem spraying it (and other chemicals) all over their house, where they are inhaling it in higher concentration.

How many of you use febreeze, and scented products, and chemicals all over the house?

Yes, take notice of what is in your food, and demand cleaner food, safer food. But, do not be drawn in by 'shocking' articles, and then just ignore everything else. Food safety is quickly becoming the new fad, now that global warming has died down. Everybody wanted to reduce their carbon foot print, but how many people actually cleaned up their way of living as a whole?

Be skeptical, be aware, and be informed.

How else do you you think you are going to get $1 hamburgers, that are made by a national chain, with billions of dollars of expenses? It is not rocket science, they are cutting corners somewhere.

Why is it that when Jay says something, it's right wing bull but when others say the same thing, its an acceptable opinion???
The Ear
Probably because most people stopped reading what Jay writes long ago.:toothless
