Correct, and you can drink it without harm (not all day ffs), it's good for the skin, and it's sterile. |

| In Quebec, and I'm sure the rest of Canada, only a minimum of grade A beef can be served in restaurants, thats why fastfood is more expensive over here. |

Pas moi. I agree with him most the time. He critically analyses things and comments from a logical, rational standpoint, as opposed to from a mostly emotional standpoint as most ppl always seem to.
"Shock" articles like this are so extreme bc they are trying to evoke an emotional repsonse in those who read it. They get all worked up and in agreement with the article's subject. Ppl who are worked up (emotional) abt an issue are less likley to think abt it critically and just go with the message handed to them! "They aricle said this, this is evil, evil is bad, and therefore it needs to be addressed, end of story. The article is right and so i dont wanna hear any contrary opinions!" |

I find it a bit ironic, that people would be up in arms about it being in their food, but have no problem spraying it (and other chemicals) all over their house, where they are inhaling it in higher concentration.
How many of you use febreeze, and scented products, and chemicals all over the house?
Yes, take notice of what is in your food, and demand cleaner food, safer food. But, do not be drawn in by 'shocking' articles, and then just ignore everything else. Food safety is quickly becoming the new fad, now that global warming has died down. Everybody wanted to reduce their carbon foot print, but how many people actually cleaned up their way of living as a whole?
Be skeptical, be aware, and be informed.
How else do you you think you are going to get $1 hamburgers, that are made by a national chain, with billions of dollars of expenses? It is not rocket science, they are cutting corners somewhere. |
+1.. food additives are definitely an issue. I try to avoid them (when im not on a junk food binge). Good point about the sprays and inhalants. Not to mention party favours... The reason ive always avoided those is because god knows what is in that !!!
The funniest and most ironic people ive ever met are vegan health conscious drug addicts LOL |

What? Like a continuous stream of right-wing drivel interspersed with near hypocrytical statements placating fears of potentially lethal food additives because the perpetrators happen to be big business?
or something more like this:

no one is stopping you from a continuous stream of left wing drivel! LOL!
Socialists get offended by free speech though. Its very nature is a threat to the system that they purport on others. |

Any animal that is butchered immediately lets off ammonia as a by-product of decomposition. It occurs naturally in the body.
What they are doing with the meat is not a big deal at all. |

I cater to neither wing. I just find a mild paradox inherent in your admonishing of certain practices and legislation when such legislation regarding full disclosure of what is "in" the food we eat would certainly make it easier to avoid processed foods that contain undesirable elements as you lamented in your first post.
That said, it's Friday, so I'm checking out of intelligent debate mode and into the more capricious state of mind where I typically reside.
A random food thought: when are we going to get one of those steakhouses where you get to select your cattle & have it butchered on the spot? Like on The Simpsons. Now that's a proper way to over see the post slaughter processing of beef!!! |

presenting opinions as facts is wrong on either side...but the endless exaggerations, generalizations and lack of logical reasoning are what does it for me where he is concerned.
this week's favourite is referring to the devaluation of media as the 2nd most significant disaster of the decade, behind 9/11. lol! exaggerate much?
