A duo (I think) that comes to mind that I would LOVE to have at Piknic is Sandwell District. Their RA podcast was immense, and their set at the Labyrinth festival in Japan last year was absolutely mindblowing according to the guys over at mnml ssgs. All you techno heads hre should listen to this if you haven't already:
I've always wondered what would be the best kind of setting to host guys who play techno like this here in Montreal. It's quite raw, stripped down, and I think the venue should reflect that, for the full effect anyway. And this goes not just for SD. Guys like Luke Slater (Planetary Assault Systems), Peter Van Hoesen, Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock, for example. Would love to hear techno like that @ Piknic!
