| Bad idea, and not because it's a drug. It's bad because we're in an age where we're trying to get ppl to decrease, or more over, eliminate smoking completely. Bringing another smokable product in the forefront cannot amount to anything good. It's better to decriminalize it but don't bring it in as if it was just another cigarette. Isn't billions globally spent on smoking related illnesses each year enough already? |

There are MANY issues that are currently happening in California.
They are one of the worst states for have a negative emigration (more people moving out of California then coming in).
Also with the fact that the housing bubble destroy LA, and that tourism is a record low levels, legalizing marijuana can only really have a positive impact on their bottom line.
Just think of all of the tourism dollars they will now receive.
