Has anyone been? I'm trying to plan a trip for the summer and wondering where's the cheapest/best airline to use, best location to fly in from, cheap hotels/hostels.. basically ways to have fun, do it right and on a decent budget.

also when do the summer's lineups ususlly get released so i can make sure the two weeks i go isnt the 1 or 2 weeks out of the year that Sven isnt there :)

any help is much appreciated.

http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/ is the best resource for hotels and all sorts of travel information. If you're definitely going, then its a good idea to reserve your accommodation as soon as possible. Some of the hotels/apartments usually offer discounts if you book early (before March). Best time to go is in July.

Hypersky is completely correct and knows his stuff.

Here's the thread west coasters had going last season.

Crazy, how there was a day where you could have gotten roundtrip to Spain for $400someting. (I should have jumped all over that)

Other than that, if you can fly to a city that "veuling airlines" flies to, they are fairly cheap to fly into IBZ.

As for lodging, I remember someone posting fairly cheap and nice rooms in San Antonio if you don't go to the hostel route. Pretty much June to September is the season you want to go. Most of the parties are weekly.
Monday - Swedish House Mafia (Pacha) and Tiesto (Privilege)
Tuesday - Armin Van Buuren and Roger Sanchez (Amnesia)
Wednesday - Erick Morillo (Pacha)
Thursday - F*** Me I'm Famous w/ David Guetta (Pacha

Those are the 3 nights I would recommend (if of course that schedule does not change and you are into house) If you are more of a tech or trance head there are other venues. Like Cream party Thursday night @ Amnesia.

200 a day sounds about right if you include hotel and car rental into the price. If you don't then you can factor in about 100 Euros a day, provided you don't buy drinks in clubs and don't eat at pricey restaurants.

dont stay in San Antonio because the only thing you can walk to is Eden... next year I am going to be in Playa Den Bossa close enough to space.

Amnesia has not hotels close to it so dont pick based off of that.

ya cause cafe mambo, cafe del mar, kanya beach, david's, and the free shuttles to amnesia aren't in san antonio  san an is actually a great place to stay and it has nothing to do with that dump eden. it's cheaper and you get to kick off every evening with a beautiful sunset on the shore with fresh sangria to the background of chillout music. prime setting to meet tons of women as we did. meanwhile you have big headliners from pacha playing free preparties at mambo. why would you latch on to a hotel by space? there's pretty much only one must-do party per week there and that's we love space sundays. the beaches there are a mess of people too. bora bora is the type of place you only need to see once, not every day you're there. it would be a mistake to begin with not to rent a car in ibiza. it's so ing cheap and you'd be a damn fool not to explore the entire island beyond the partying aspect. ibiza is so much more than night clubs. please don't be a knob and actually make an effort to see all ibiza has to offer.

do a search, look for our ibiza 2007 thread. there's tons of advice on how to do ibiza right in there.

I think its a matter of personal preference Rich. Some people prefer a more international atmosphere which is something that exists more so in PDB than San. The great thing is that you can stay in either and catch a lot of good shows, since Amnesia is right in the middle. I generally kept my partying to Space and Amnesia last summer, which is why i decided to stay in PDB.

I think I'm going to plan on staying in ibiza town. Closer to the parties and that's what I'm going for. Any recommended places to stay there? About renting a car... Does anyone know the approximate price? Also what's the process of getting a permit/license/whatever if I'm from America? I have a California drivers license.
