This isn't winter, but I was going thru my pics and so many good memories.. in August me and 5 friends road tripped to Chicago for Lollapalooza.

The main reason being Tool headlining, they're my favorite band.. I saw em 3 years ago for the 10,000 Days tour, and we were looking to do a nice long road trip.. so it worked out... Other headliners were Depeche Mode, Kings of Leon, The Killers, Jane's Addiction, and Snoop Dogg to name a few of the 130 or so acts.

We left Montreal thursday the 6th at 10pm, the drive to Chicago is 1380 kms, and it took about 15 hours each way, doing about 120 km/h. We crossed the border thru Sarnia, Ontario.. about 9 hours in. We stopped about 3-4 times each way to gas up, piss, stock up on snacks and eat.. 15 mins max each stop.

It was probably the best weekend of my life. Chicago's such a beautiful city, so I thought I'd share my life changing experience at one of the biggest music festivals in the world, in my new favorite city.

Us in the van.. I'm driving, wearing the black shirt.

The Chicago skyline from the highway entering the city from the south on friday afternoon. The Sears Tower is so big it makes the rest of the city look small.

U.S. Cellular Field, home of the White Sox

The girls' hotel room across the park on Michigan Ave, The Congress Hotel

Since the hotel was literally across the street from the park, the hotel was crawling with young party animals, yet it's one of the oldest and nicest hotels in Chicago. Obama's inaguration was held here. Late at the night, the halls smelled of pot and there were broken beer bottles all over the place. Definitely the party hotel. Too bad shots of Jager were $8 each at the bar.

Really cool Appartment complex, the first 30 or so floors is parking. You can see the cars almost falling out of the building and into the canal.

The L-train tracks, I felt like I was in GTA IV

Lake Michigan behind us

Perry's, watching The Glitch Mob

My favorite picture.. 100,000 people right before Snoop Dogg at the main stage

Tool, awesome set and light show, awesome sound, awesome crowd.

Our train taking us to Wrigleyville saturday night, literally hundreds of Cubs sports bars.. it was such a great saturday night.

Big Snoop Dogg

Okay so we smoked a big joint for Snoop can you tell?

Deadmau5 sunday night to close up the Festival

Main entrance at night

People chanting, cheering, and nearly rioting while chanting Lolla Lolla Lolla after it all ended. ****ing unreal.

Meat Supreme Pizza, DEEP DISHHH

Thats it, best weekend of my life.. the whole trip cost me about $800. I highly recomend you check out Chicago if you can, I prefer it to NYC. So clean, and the people are so friendly. Beautiful architechture as well.

I'm going to Shanghai too (Vancouver :p ). It's for the Winter Olympics but just the first five days of it (Winter games is 16 days)

Great Chicago pics, I've heard its downtown is actually pretty clean, something that many major US cities cannot say.

^^Chicago's unbelievably clean. You walk around DT, you don't see a piece of trash anywhere. I felt like an throwing my cigarette butts on the floor so I'd find a sewer to throw it out. It's actually the greenest city in all of the U.S., the mayor made it a point for the city to be spotless.

The architechture is also unreal.. One night we walked around, its crazy cuz its Gotham City is filmed in Chicago, I felt like I was in Batman haha..

By far my favorite city, I like it better then NYC.

Austin Texas and Seattle are cooler:p

honourable mention to Denver.
