I remember when ( a big name movie rental company ) use to post me DVD's for a fixed price per month usually you get them posted Tuesday and you post them back to get more sent to you which can take a couple of days.

So... you get 3 DVD's Monday evening posted through your door and all you do is RIP them onto a HDD as (avi) and post them back the same evening we all know its ilegal to sell these or burn them onto disc but watching them back for personal use is legal even though its a grey issue as far as I know or care.

Some weeks I got 12 DVD's which is like almost 30 a month for something like £9.99 , the problem is finding the time to watch them all !

it takes too much time to RIP dvds

DVDShrink use to take around 30-40 minutes , just leave it running while you go out.

yea but that is still at least twice longer than it takes me to download a movie, and don't forget that you still have to wait to get it in the mail

I would say Whole foods meant more for big cities and some suburbia. I guess hipsters are attracted due to paying an arm and a leg for higher quality unless they like their mini vegetable markets down the block from their 2000$/month studio :)

Similar but Wegmans is more for smaller cities/towns(this does not mean it is smaller than a typical supermarket) Right when you walk in for the first time you'll think of all the places you been to for food shopping are second to this. During college my first two years I did food shopping at wal-mart but I already went to typical places like pathmark, waulbaums, stop and shop, shop-rite) but my last two years I did wegmans and since I graduated and moved back home I still miss wegmans to ths day

An interesting concept I used in college:

This will only work at those self checkout lanes.

Buy a case of beer and rip open a hole near the handle. Just enough so you can turn one can around so the barcode is facing up.

when you get in the self checkout, go to the clerk first and hand them your id and point to your case so they can punch in your ID without having to go over and looking at what you're doing.

Then just scan that one beer can barcode. It'll ring up like a buck or something. Pay and leave.

You got a case of beer for a beer
