I have a couple friends from down here in SoCal and up from the Bay area that are big festical guys. I went with them to Juju beats this past year and camped out for the weekend and had a pretty awesome set up at our camp as well. Everything powered since these guys work for a heavy duty battery company.
A couple of the guys from up North told me that they go to BM every year and it's incredible!! They were also telling me about a festival up in BC Canada that is right up there with BM.
I want to check it out but don't know if I'll be able to get a whole week off work. Is it even worth checking out for a couple days? Like the last few days or something?

i went for 4 days last year and it was simply amazing. i would love to go longer but with my school just being in session for a week it's hard to just take off for a week after i've had the whole summer off and i can only say i have so many "cousins" getting married in NY ;) lol
i'm gonna do thursday-monday again this year, was a perfect amount of time for me and i did a ton there last year. basically hit the ground running.

Here is a video blog of my trip with Infected this past year. It was a great performance at Opulent Temple right after Armin. Everyone was hyped. Most of the footage was from my ty little digi but you can see some cool video of the party toward the end. It was Thursday the 3rd of Sept. I believe...

Wikipedia does a good job explaining and explaining the history of the event.
Can any past burners give input on why I should or should not rent an RV?
Sadface
The cost/benefit is pretty obvious. Cost: a ton of money. Benefit: you have a place to sleep, shower, cook, hang out, and keep all your without the hassle of setting anything up or ensuring that it's sturdy enough to withstand the dust storms. An RV will never blow away.
I've never gotten one because the cost is prohibitively high, like, over 2 g's to get one for the week that might sleep four if you're friendly. Some of the women in my group always say they want one, but nobody is ever willing to put down the money to get one.
Personally, I appreciate the "roughing it" aspect of BM which is seriously cheapened by getting an RV, but I know that many people don't share that sentiment.
