For me their sound is just not my cup of tea I like punk sounding bands, and Chad has always come off as a douchbag.

Another Canadian band I think has gotten really popular is Headly and isint Simple Plan pretty pop too

Chad Kroeger is part of the band so he can be discussed.

Chad Kroeger = arrogant douchebag
I totally agree with Peter on this one! That is the main reason why I don't like them.

nickleback are AWFUL. i remember reading somewhere that matt good said something to the effect of 'nickleback's music is bland and generic' and in response chad threatened to beat up matt good because 'that's how they did things in the country'. thanks for setting us back another 100 years chad kroger (sp? i don't care enough to look up the proper spelling). what a douche...lol.

ah well guess that makes me the only one who doesn't mind nickleback, then again i listen to everything that sounds good to the ear and got's a nice rhythm to it.

definitely my favorite :)

Agreed, but it's more a personal choice I don't think there is any distinct Canadian artist that the masses listen to , besides the obvious ( celine, shania ) but i'd pick Micheal Buble for now, most people know he's canadian..unlike deadmau5 ;)

i canbet that i listen to more that sounds good to the ear than you and win but lets not get into that

nickleback sucks ass and that's a fact.

this comes from someone that plays a multitude of instruments, has been in 10 bands and now produces electronic music.

I can assure you that Nickelback does not ing sound even remotely close to "good" to me.

In fact, I'm almost certain that Nickelback is worse than cancer.

when it comes to music & searching for hidden gems you need to search more because its not a gem or hidden if people already know about it

dont talk about music when your a ameteur in it use both your ears dont talk

music is about listening & you couldnt recognize the things that are unique about music if you payed someone to show you what they are

Canadian music is more than rock look at the history before you talk again use both your ears

each region has a distinct sound because of the people that live there music is a reflection of the people who make it & where they come from/Who they are

If you want to learn Cbout canadians & music go back to my old threads last year

19+ Vs -18
How Caandian Are You
Canadian music pre 95 vs post 1996

music ameteurs like you will learn something then

remember you said which artists represent Canada & all you mention is rock artists Canada is bigger then that

Thanks you I always have aimed to be #1 in Canada

I never want it to sound like Canadian music tho because 90% of The Music That the Canadian Music indsutry supports is cheesy/2 perfect always shiny & clean no soul no feelings

Canadian music varies and theres lots of talented artists all over Canada making different kinds of music & hopefully 1 day they get recognized by the fans here

Canadians vary province to province but we all have some common traitsonce you identify thoose there are no limits 2 music

The main thing about Canada & the thing I Do is MultiCulturalism

alot of you djs or producers cant make music that gets a reaction in Canada & have to go overseas to gte one because they dont know how to make music for Canadians yet because they dont know about people in there Country or music that thoose people represent
