Imagine going to Kevin's restaurant.

"Kevin, I love your spot, man. The beer selection is awesome. Oh , turn the volume up. Obama is about to speak on reform."

"OBAMA?! THAT SOCIALIST PIG, YOU, AND YOUR MOTHER!"

Nah its cool man, I am sure you do whats right by your employees, but like I said earlier, both side have a religious view of what is right and what is wrong in terms of how government works with people.

Its not something thats going to change on TA.

It's not religious for me... it's purely about the government knowing when to say when in terms of impeding our ability to grow and compete.

I didn't mean that in a literal way. I meant it in terms of adherence to your beliefs.

It's going really well... the food is especially getting awesome reviews. I'm just pissed that I can't be down there to experience it for myself! It's like a cruel joke that I have a bar/restaurant I can't hang out in. I'm trying to get down in the next month or so... gonna try to meet up with Squirrelly and Sylee while in Orlando. :p
Moongoose
Be sure to mention to Slylee that at least some of the TA still misses her and that the COR has gotten somewhat boring without her...ffs we have to result to political discussions so that somethings going on :p

Total disconnect from reality here. You are like the grad student who got an A on a term paper, but doesn't understand how it's real world application doesn't work... but still believes that if I just pay attention to your footnotes I'll get it. Obama has had a horrible first year. His approval has sunk to the lowest percentage of any president after the first year (now 46% in last week's CBS poll), and a staggering -22% differential in approve vs. disapprove from when he was elected. Every one of his major agenda items lacks a majority support. Did you not just see what happened in Massachusetts? New Jersey? Virginia?

Aren't you the one that doesn't put stock in polling numbers? Obama's numbers are still higher than Reagan's were in 1982, so what's the point? And were those state elections referendums on Obama? C'mon. Coakley and Deeds were among the worst candidates on the Democratic bench - they had horribly run campaigns that were outgunned from the start. It was never about Obama.

No, he's squandering momentum by co-opting legislation crafting to radicals Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

I wish that were true, rather than handing everything off to sticks in the mud like Max Baucus.

Can purchase, or will be FORCED to purchase, otherwise face massive fines and/or jail time?

Can.

Let's not mince words. Yeah his political capital is so considerable, he couldn't sway Massachusetts voters who are registered as Democrats 3.5 to 1 to keep a Democrat in Kennedy's seat. He's 0-4 now in using his political capital to sway (Mass., VA, NJ, Olympics). Governing against the will of the people will finish off the little political capital he has left. Dude, you are so entrenched in your Beltway cocoon it's scary.

Again - how are those referendums on Obama? He didn't even campaign in VA or MA until the week of, and did he even campaign in NJ? The criticism is that he didn't use any of his political capital there, not that it didn't work.

And the Olympics? Really?

Comrade Stalin
the17sss, you exploiting, corrupt, money-hungry, fat cat, greedy, decadent capitalist pig. I will nationalize you.
