Depends what DJ you're talking about.

I think 'connections' is the only way to reach them, or you need to be very lucky. I think your tracks are good enough.

Blue Light RMX by the way was a surprise because you used similar instruments and style as my friend Lisaya used in one of his unreleased tracks.

I don't have any producing experience, but Lisaya started working with a Swedish producer Thomas Petersen who had much better connections (most in Germany). Together as Soulcry they released some tracks at Cuepoint Records and meanwhile also had a track released at Trancemaster 5008, probably due to Talla 2XLC.
Also they do make many remixes for others and let others do remixes of theirs. That helps a lot to get your name known.
Unfortunatly that also leads to making a lot of very cheesy commercial stuff.

Maybe you should contact Thomas, could be worth a shot:

FWIW, I've sent some messages to PVD's people about a remix of a VERY old song of his that's not very well known, and I haven't heard anything back yet. I'm not holding my breath, even though it's gotten some solid reviews in various forums. LINK

It sounds like it was made in 1993.

the original was, yes. it was on the Trance Europe Express 2 compilation, released in 1994. As far as I know, that's the only place it ever appeared. That track is by far my favorite PVD production.

Erm... It was also on the US edition of Seven Ways.

Anyways, Armin sucks ass. The person who posted here should die in a ing fire, etc etc. They have taste, blah blah. I hate you all.

cool, thanks for checking it out! i want to open it up for everyone to download, but i'm waiting a bit to see if anyone in PVD's management calls it to his attention. like i said, i'm not holding my breath on hearing anything, so it won't be long before i post a link or turn the download option on at Soundcloud.

Either way its a win win... one way PvD may play some real trance, the other we get an awesome track for free :D

Most big DJ's hire people to go through their promos. If it's not good enough it doesn't make it past the first review phase. Whoever they assign to review the promo's is usually extremely knowledgeable about the DJ's sound and whether or not they are likely to find your track interesting.

Also keep in mind when you are sending out tracks don't just send them to EVERY label. If you actually have someone willing to sign you they won't if you have already sent the track to every tom, dick, and harry.

If you make a track that sounds along the lines of a certain labels signature sound, send it to that label first and see if you get a response. If you don't then you can try again elsewhere to a similar sounding label.

Another good idea is to make some tracks that you intend on giving away for free (not to be signed) just to get your name out there.
