i recently spent 7 months overseas, went to a few places.

reconmendations are as follows:

Costa Rica (San Jose) great place, people are rather nice. Cheap food and accomodation (though depending on where you stay of course) and, loads of South American woman that are keen as musted to find an aussie if thats your gig.

France, great place, realllly costly for most things taxi's etc. But there is a hotel near the train line which gets the train direct into paris. (we just hoped the gates all the time so it was free). People well the frence I think are super rude, doesnt matter where you come from. But, overall great place, visually appealing. Also i reconmend the hop on hop off bus tour, 20 or 30 euro, and you can get it all day, and it runs you to the scenic places, Notre Damm, Eithel tower etc.

London, great place again, lots to do and see. Fairly costly tho. Paddington in london crazy 130pounds a night which is cheapish all booked out streets and streets. Subway train rides all over the place. for transportation to outer UK. Dance clubs knock your socks off.

Miami, Florida. Excellent place, average prices. again depending on where you stay, and south beach is super dooper. You can hire scooters cheap, and ride around in your shorts all day cause it super humid. Great food along south beach with tonns i mean tonns of restaurants. during the day great specials as they want you in the door, seafood, etc. Pina colada's. also the beach, nice and warm tropical waters. Also you can get a cruise ship to the Bahamas for 135.oo US all you can eat breakfast and dinner they take you there for the day from Ft Lauderdale. Taxi pics you up drops you off, really great deal. Oh and Miami Ink was great.

Thats it from me...! went else where too like L.A and Texas but not worth writing about...

Spent a year in Europe in 2006, lived in Malta & Czech the rest was spent backpacking.

My favourite countries would of been Czech as well as Holland. Czech for the culture, quite cheap compared to the west side of Europe and outside of Prague it's less touristy. Also the beer, you can't go past the beer :p
Holland for being Holland really, loved the people, transport makes it so easy to get around. Was staying with friends in Amsterdam and then Rotterdam which makes life so much easier.

Wasn't to impressed with Belgium, i preferred Antwerp to Brussels mainly due to the whole Dutch/French thing.

Nice guys, Any of you ever been to Asia? I recently spent one month in Macau. Did the whole shabang. Literally blew me away. Loved every second of it. Hit up Hong Kong and ZhuHai. Went to all the major casinos and got a massage or two ;D.

With accommodation I know most of the Managers that run the casino hotels so I got accommodation for a mint. about 25 aussie for a suite. But there are nice five star hotel suites for about 120aussie. I recommend it for any aussie male.

The Women there do like the aussies. You could go for the working girls or you can maybe even if you have the talent pick up the local birds ;)

About the only places I haven't really been through are South-middle America, Canada, most of Eastern Europe, central Asia, some parts of central and western Africa, the slightly more arse-backwards bits of the middle east I've also not been too either. Come to think of it, worlds a big place so I can cross the little oceanic countries off the list and both the arctic regions.

Still thinking about south America as a place to go but I'm not sure a lot of it appeals to me and there isn't a lot of incentive, business or recreational to do it. Parts of Peru and Argentina look very pretty though.

17, nice work ghostface, gettn the asian ladies. Have a thing for them myself, LOL. But engaged now to a central american latina.

@lilith, go to south america is great, and for business mate you can start up anything for a 1/4 of what it would cost you in the western world. Peru, Argentina, avoid, central america if you go there you have to stay well and truly in the touristy areas otherwise youl come back in a body bag. South America is reasonably safe all over, that being said some unsafe parts too.

My lady is from El salvador why we were in the states she went back twice to visit family and wher she is from its ruff neighbor hood. I couldnt go purely because of my visable tatts, gangs think tatts you belong to gang therefore = dead. in most cases, but not all.

That being said, central and south america has the best country, woman, fruit, and some of the nicest food.

anywho,

Every year i go back to new york to spend time with my family.

Just got back recently staying there for 3 months. basically all my family are scattered across the US, so i tried visiting them all this time around. it was hectic to say the least especially in a 3 month period.. i did San Francisco, Sacremento, Kansas, Missouri, Memphis, Tampa, Miami (South Beach area), West Palm beach, Syracuse, Buffalo and then i also went up to Toronto to visit a few friends from school that live there now.

like the other poster said above, definately go to florida, it is beautiful and weather wise one of the best places in North America. south beach is amazing for party-goers. just the bars along the esplande is amazing.. you can drink somewhere for cheap and if u dont like it u can leave with your drink in a cup and go elsewhere, smoke cigars. :)

one thing i recommend is that you only fly to the states from australia via the West Coast.. try to avoid coming via the middle east. it's too long of a journey. east coast -> west coast -> down to australia will save u about 6hrs or even more of flying..
