Alongside the mainroom broadcast, we also will be broadcasting the Transcend Room also.

Both will have links for seperate pages on Mugasha.com. There will be added camera angles this time around also! The multicast for everyone to tune into will be around 10ish so check for a link here for those of you arriving who have iphones and more so you can listen in on the way up or if your coming later.

The guestlist is looking packed for this event, and the Djs we have comin for Transcend are really lookin forward to their debut at 1015. They have worked hard to make this night super special so I hope some of you stop in.:D

More to come...

Hey Blizzurr, ya should setup both cameras and play video through all your encoders at the same time(with motion, not some empty room, make a big difference as encoders will only use as much bitrate as it needs to the max you say to use) over the streams for awhile (I'd say at least an hour) to make sure the upload speed from 1015 is able to handle uploading both videos. If you need to, test it with a camera you can just put a tape into and play something so the encoder has to encode something with motion.

I strongly recommend not going by bitrate tests. Go by watching the video itself through the stream. How packets are sent in streams and it being Flash (which is more sensitve than say WMV because it doesn't do such a big buffer) make that important. One hiccup in the upload can mean data lost (a bigger hiccup) in the stream. I've done a webcast with an upload speed of 100mbps but a completely unstable stream. It sucked.

Just trying to give advise from experience. Last thing you want to do is think things will be fine based on just an upload speed, set it up just before the event w/ little test time, and then have an issue. It sucks. Has happened to me more than I'd like to admit! hehe. At least if you get a chance to test beforehand, if anything happens there's no real need to get pissed. Nothing you could have controlled in the end.

+1 Bravo! :D ;)

Last I remember you guys could only broadcast at 128K AAC because anything higher would buffer like crazy, and that was just audio.

Anyway, good luck with the video broadcast.. I watched some of it this past weekend.. The sound was ughhh, but the multi video cameras was good..
Dj Blurr
Thanks guys.

Ya running a full test this week before the show.

Running it at 128 it came out fine, but I realized a couple of times it was at 56 when changing the bitrate. I assure you all will be able to hear and see us this weekend.

Lookin forward to this event, and a rave both Beaver and I, plus 27+ Djs are playin at on Friday at Kelly's. Gonna be a great weekend.

:)

Thanks for the info Dave. Ya this time, I'll activate the other output encoders, so we can have multiple streams and capture a wider audience, we were limited last saturday since I only had one. Those of you who have iphones and smartphones, youll be able to tune in on your way up, or even at the club where you can actually interact with the broadcast while your in the audience.

Ya, the stream was set at 56k for a while, I did bump it back up to 128k and it came thru crystal clear.
