No. They should compete in his honor. Its not like these guys go into luge thinking "hey this is a safe sport." They do it cause they are ing bad asses, like this guy was. |

The posts could have been made of NERF and it wouldn't have made a difference.
The bigger question is why was he even in the Olympics? This was his second crash this week and he wasn't a medal threat. He isn't even within the top 50 in the world. They need to change the rules as to who qualifies for the olympics...not just in luge but in almost every olympic sport. |

No the question is why was there no net there? You've got athletes doing 100km/h and there's ing concrete poles a metre away. Does someone really need to die before they add some safety fences and netting?
What, do race tracks only have fencing to protect the spectators? No, they also protect the drivers. This is absolutely appalling. |
