The New York Times is running a front page expose on the Tea Party movement and it only covers their activity in the interior of the Pacific Northwest. This is an attitude held by the extreme minority in this region. Not once do they mention this. This is a ploy to disparage the name and the political nature of this region by associating us with radicalized right wing groups.
These are outside groups. They moved here from the south in the 1980s as part of the white supremacist movement thinking they could find a home here and destroy our way of life. We turned them back and defeated them. We will do the same again!
The Eastern Imperialist dogs must not be allowed to lead this nation into associating the PNW with radical right wing extremism!

No.
Unlike the rest of the dumb ass country we are happy to repeal and suspend laws that prevent taxation when we deem it needed to support our basic needs.
Also we like Native Americans, blacks, asians, and all the other races. We aren't racist psycho paths like the rest of this country.
So there you go. New York Times is making us seem like a bunch of racist tax hating right wing nut bags when we are far more liberal than any other part of the country save maybe Vermont. |

that article made out that people associated with the tea party are rightwing loonies (because they are), i didn't really see them focus on geography too much. you're trying really hard to read too much into it. |

They said multiple times "the inland northwest" and "the pacific northwest" and named cities and towns in Eastern Washington... |

But they don't talk about the much strong areas of the movement in the south and east, they barely even touch on its origins beyond talking about the Sheriff from Arizona and then promptly say a sheriff from Washington agrees with him. |
